How to enable audience targeting in Amazon Ads

You can fetch Amazon Ads data based on contextual targeting or audience targeting. By default, Amazon Ads queries use contextual targeting.

If you notice missing campaigns or discrepancies in sponsored display campaign data, it may be because the targeting setting doesn't allow you to fetch the data as it's audience-targeted. Follow these instructions to enable audience targeting and fetch the missing data.

Instructions

  1. Create an Amazon Ad query or edit an existing query.
  2. Navigate to Options.
  3. Check the Enable Audience targeting checkbox.

Note that if you enable audience targeting in your query or transfer, the contextual campaigns will disappear from the results. To pull both audience targeting and contextual targeting data, create separate queries or transfers — one with the Enable Audience targeting checkbox checked and one with the checkbox unchecked.
