This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
Before using the Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) connector, you need to sign an API agreement with Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) allowing Supermetrics to access your account via API. This can be done through your Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) client service manager or Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) customer support. After this, you should receive a username, password, and API key, which are used to connect to the Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) data source.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select a query types when pulling data. The Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) connector has 3 different report types, each providing a different way to report campaign performance:
- Campaign performance: Report the performance of your ad campaigns on campaign, ad, brand, site, or placement level.
- Geo performance: Report the performance of your ad campaigns on campaign and country level.
- Device performance: Report the performance of your ad campaigns on campaign, device, and browser level.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek), you need to enter your credentials and select the account when prompted.
- Select the Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- Enter the username, password, and API key you received from your Amazon Ad Server (Sizmek) account manager.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- In your data destination, select the account to pull data from.
