Piwik PRO connection guide

Learn how to connect Piwik PRO to Supermetrics, and start adding user analytics data and more to your reports.

Before you begin

To connect to Piwik PRO, you'll need copies of your account name, client ID, and client secret.


Get your account name

  1. Log in to your Piwik PRO dashboard.
  2. Your account name is the first part of the URL you see in your browser's address bar.
    • For example, if your URL is exampleABC.piwik.pro, then your account name is exampleABC.


Get your client ID and client secret

  1. Log in to your Piwik PRO dashboard.
  2. Click Menu in the top left.
  3. Select Profile from the dropdown.
  4. Select the API Keys tab on the left.
  5. Click Create key.
  6. Give your key a memorable name.
  7. Copy the client ID and client secret. Keep them in a secure, safe place.


Query type

  • Analytics: Fetch website and product analytics data from Piwik PRO's Analytics product.

Google Sheets Data StudioExcel

Make sure you've installed the Supermetrics add-on before you connect.

  1. Open a new Google Sheets file.
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch sidebar to open Supermetrics.
  3. Click Create new query.
  4. Under "Data source", select Piwik PRO.
  5. Enter your account name, client ID, and client secret.
  6. Click Start.
