Piwik PRO connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Piwik PRO data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.

Required permissions

To connect to Piwik PRO, you'll need copies of your account name, client ID, and client secret.

Get your account name

Log in to your Piwik PRO dashboard.
Your account name is the first part of the URL you see in your browser's address bar.
- For example, if your URL is exampleABC.piwik.pro, then your account name is exampleABC.

Get your client ID and client secret

If prompted, you need to select a query type to pull data.

Analytics: Fetch website and product analytics data from Piwik PRO's Analytics product.

When connecting to Piwik PRO, you need to provide your credentials and select the account to use.

Select the Piwik PRO data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
Enter your account name, client ID, and client secret.
If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
Click Start.
In your data destination, select the accounts to include in your reporting and a query type, if prompted.
