How to change the owner of data warehouse transfers

If someone has left your team and the transfers they've created must be kept in use, the best way to do this is to clone these transfers using a different user account. This way, the transfers are assigned a new owner.


If necessary, you can also remove the user from the alert email recipient list and from your Supermetrics team.

Note

This instruction applies to data warehouse transfers created from the Supermetrics Hub. To change the owner for data warehouse transfers for BigQuery (marketplace), you need to recreate the transfers.

Instructions

Step 1: Clone the transfer

  1. Log in to the Supermetrics Hub using a different user account than the one to be dropped from the data warehouse project.
  2. Go to StorageTransfers.
  3. Find the affected transfer and click the three-dots icon.
  4. Click Clone, and click OK.

Repeat these steps for every transfer to be cloned.


Step 2: Delete existing transfers created by the old user

  1. Go to StorageTransfers.
  2. Find the affected transfer and click the three-dots icon.
  3. Click Delete.

Repeat the steps if there are multiple transfers to be deleted.


Step 3: Remove the old user from alert email recipient list 

If the old user has been added as an alert recipient in transfers, here are the steps to remove them:

  1. Go to StorageTransfers.
  2. Find the affected transfer and click the three-dots icon.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Scroll down to Send alerts to.
  5. Click x to remove the user from the list of email recipients.
  6. Click Save transfer.

Repeat the steps if the user has been added as an alert recipient in multiple transfers.


Step 4: Remove the old user from your Supermetrics team

To remove a user from your Supermetrics Team, follow these steps. Note that you have to be an admin in the team to do this.

  1. Go to the Team page on the Supermetrics Hub.
  2. Find the user you want to remove from your team and click the three-dots icon.
  3. Click Delete.
