Adtraction report building guide

Use the Adtraction data source connector to get affiliate marketing metrics like impressions, clicks, transactions, and commission. Create reports where you split data by markets, channels, ads, devices, and segments.

Once you’ve connected to Adtraction, you're ready to create your first queries!


Query types for this data source

When connecting to the Adtraction data source, you need to select a query type. The query type defines what sort of metrics and dimensions are available.

See cost, orders, and sales

Take a look at how your cost, orders, and sales have developed over the year. In this example, we explore the data on the daily level.


Use the "Advertiser: Statistics by day" query type.


The "Cost" metric shows the total cost of the transaction, including affiliate commission and network fee.

The "Order value" metric shows the order value of the sale transactions.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the time series chart type.

  1. Select the Advertiser: Statistics by day query type.
  2. Set the date range to Year to date.
  3. Select the Cost, Order value, and Sales metrics.
  4. Select the Date dimension.


See transactions cost

View how your costs have evolved over time. In this example, we take a look at the data for the ongoing month and compare it to the previous month.


Use the "Advertiser: Transactions" query type.


The "Cost" metric shows the cost of the transaction, including affiliate commission and Adtraction network fee.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the scorecard chart type.

  1. Select the Advertiser: Transactions query type.
  2. Set the date range to This month to date.
  3. Select the Cost metric.
  4. Set the Comparison date range to Previous period.


See clicks and impressions

See clicks and impressions from last week.


Use the "Advertiser: Statistics by day" query type.


The "Clicks unique" metric shows the number of unique clicks.

The "Impressions" metric shows the number of banner/link impressions.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the time series chart type.

  1. Select the Advertiser: Statistics by day query type.
  2. Set the date range to Last week.
  3. Select the Clicks unique and Impressions metrics.
  4. Select the Date dimension to split the query results by date.
