About advanced date settings for HubSpot data in Supermetrics

Supermetrics offers 4 advanced settings that can change the date base used for data pulled from HubSpot. These are designed to give users more control over how data is obtained.

Advanced settingOptions
Contacts dates based on
  • Contact created date
  • Lifecycle stage changed date
Deal dates based on
  • Deal created date
  • Deal closed date (default)
Email dates based on
  • Email event date
  • Email send date (default)

Ticket dates based on

  • Ticket closed date
  • Ticket created date (default)

The option you choose will dictate both which date field is used to fetch data for the date range, as well as what the standard date-based dimensions (like Date, Year, and Month, for example) will use.

Example

If you wanted your Deal data based on the Deal created date rather than Deal closed date, you would set Deal dates based on to "Deal created date". This means the date range selection will use the deal created dates to fetch the data set, rather that the closed date default, and the "Date" dimensions express the "Deal created date".

Enable the settings

  • Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio): Click on any report element, and then click the HubSpot data source in the sidebar. Click Edit connection, and scroll down to Contacts dates based on to find the advanced date settings.
  • Google Sheets: Open the Supermetrics sidebar. Open the Options menu and scroll down to Contacts date based on to find the advanced date settings.
  • Excel: Open the Supermetrics sidebar. Open the Options menu and select the advanced date setting you want from the dropdown menu.
