Custom Data Import allows you to import data into Supermetrics and use that data alongside other natively supported data sources. In this article, we'll show how to set up transfers using data imported with Custom Data Import.
Before you begin
Before setting up the transfer, make sure you have configured your first Custom Data Import and successfully imported your first data. The Custom Data Import source will be visible in Table Manager and Transfer creation only after you've created your first import.
Instructions
- Create a custom table group for imported data using the Custom Data Import data source in Table Manager. In Table Manager, you can define which metrics and dimensions from your data you want to include in your transfer. Follow these steps to create a custom table group.
- Go to the Transfers page on Supermetrics Hub, select the Custom Data Import data source, and create a transfer. For more detailed instructions, take a look at our article on how to create a transfer.
Note that if you haven't connected Supermetrics to any data warehouse destination yet, the transfer page will prompt you to create the connection to the destination first. - After creating the transfer, run a backfill to fetch historical data to your data warehouse. If you're unfamiliar with backfills, see our guide on how to backfill data.
