Follow these steps to connect your YouTube data to Supermetrics. If you're missing an account, skip to the Missing accounts section at the bottom of this page.

Before you begin
To connect Supermetrics, you need these permissions:
- Private accounts: Owner
- Brand accounts: Content manager

For all types of accounts and channels, the account logging in needs to be the channel's owner.
Instructions
Make sure you've installed the Supermetrics add-on before you connect.
- Open a new Google Sheets file.
- Navigate to Extensions → Supermetrics → Launch sidebar to open Supermetrics.
- Click Create new query.
- Under Data source, select YouTube.
- Click Start.
- Log in with the Google Account you use with YouTube.
- Click Allow.
- Choose the accounts and channels you'd like to include in your reporting.

Make sure you've connected Supermetrics to Looker Studio before following the steps below.
- Open the Supermetrics Looker Studio data source gallery.
- Navigate to YouTube and click Start free trial.
- You'll see two buttons that read Authorize. If you're using Supermetrics for the first time, click the left-hand one and log in with the Google Account you use with Supermetrics.
- Once that's done, or if you've done it before, click the right-hand Authorize button (under "YouTube requires authorization to connect to data").
- Select a team that has access to the account you want to connect.
- Choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Log in with the Google Account you use with YouTube.
- Click Allow.
- Choose the accounts and channels you'd like to include in your reporting.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page. To create a report with our template, select Use report template for new reports. To create a blank report, deselect this option.
- In the pane's top right, click Connect.
- Click Create report.
- Click Add to report.

- Click Data → Show Supermetrics.
- Under Data source, select YouTube.
- Choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Log in with the Google Account you use with YouTube.
- Click Allow.
- Choose the accounts and channels you'd like to include in your reporting.

Missing accounts
If an account is missing from your available accounts in Supermetrics (including channels and videos), follow these steps:
- Create a new Google Account.
- Log in to YouTube Creator Studio with your original Google Account.
- Navigate to Settings and then Permissions in the left-side menu.
- Click Invite in the top right.
- Add the new Google Account as the new user.
- Create the new user as a Manager (if you're using a brand channel, Owner would also work). Click Invite.
- Open the invitation email while logged in as the new user. Click Visit the sign-up page to accept the invitation.
- Select Use existing Google Account.
- Go back to the Supermetrics sidebar, and click Add a new user.
