This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your CallRail data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
To connect Supermetrics to CallRail, you need:
- An API key. Follow CallRail’s instructions to create your key.
- The Admin, Manager, or Reporting user role level for each business account. Learn more about user roles in CallRail and user management.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:
- Calls
- Returns data on calls and leads acquired through calls. Find metrics like the number of calls, answer rate, call duration, lead amount, and lead value.
- Gathers data about call insights by splitting the data by time, call source, number, or agent. This can help with resource planning and identifying the best-performing agents.
- Gathers data on a specific call and fetches direct links to recordings.
- Form submissions
- Returns data on form submissions and leads acquired through forms. Find metrics like the number of form submissions, lead amount, and lead value.
- Gathers lead insights by splitting the data by time or by source. You can also fetch all form submission data to dig into specific answers.
Connection instructions
When connecting to CallRail, you need to provide your API key and select the accounts to use when prompted.
- Select the CallRail data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- Enter your API key.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- In your data destination, select the accounts you'd like to include in your reporting and a query type to use.
