Google Play Reviews connection guide

Ues this guide to pull data from Google Play Reviews into the Google Sheets, Data Studio, and Excel reports you create with Supermetrics.

If you need to connect this data source to one of our data warehouse or cloud storage destinations, explore our prerequisite and filling guides.

Before you begin

Google Play Reviews is a public data source — you don't need a specific account or permissions to access it. It returns data for any app's 400 most recent reviews in the Google Play Store.

To search for an app's data, you need to pull its app ID from its Play Store URL. This allows you to query that data with Supermetrics. To find this ID:

  1. Open the Play Store page for the app you'd like to pull data for.
  2. Look at the URL in your browser bar. The text string after id= is the app's ID. For example, in a URL ending in /store/apps/details?id=ee.example.client, the app ID would be ee.example.client.
