Semrush Analytics connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Semrush Analytics data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.

Required permissions

To connect Supermetrics to Semrush Analytics, you need an API account and a Semrush subscription for API request units. Learn more about Semrush accounts and Semrush API.

Each API call has a cost, and the cost of requests is measured in API units. Units are determined by the type of report or request retrieved from the Semrush API, and fetching historical data requires more units than live data. One US dollar is equal to approximately 20,000 API units.

Query types

Semrush Analytics supports 5 main types of queries — Domain, Keyword, URLs, Display Ads, and Backlinks — for a total of 35 different query types.

Our connector uses the same structure as the API reports with the same names, so you can use the Semrush Analytics API documentation to explore the full range of reports and fields.

See our Semrush Analytics report building guide for more information about query types for this connector.
