How to fix discrepancies in Criteo data in Supermetrics

Follow these steps to resolve discrepancies in different types of Criteo data when creating reports with Supermetrics.

Currency and cost data

Criteo's API doesn't retrieve the account's currency settings, which can create mismatched values if the currency setting in Supermetrics isn't the same.

Instructions

  • Google Sheets: Open the Supermetrics sidebar and navigate to Options. In the Advanced settings field, enter CURRENCY_<ISO 4217 code for the currency>, for example, CURRENCY_EUR or CURRENCY_USD.
  • Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio): Open the data source's configuration panel, and set the currency setting under the Currency drop-down.
  • Excel: Open the Supermetrics sidebar and navigate to Options. Select Custom..., and in the Advanced setting field, enter CURRENCY_<ISO 4217 code for the currency>, for example, CURRENCY_EUR or CURRENCY_USD.
  • The Supermetrics API: On the Supermetrics Hub, open the sidebar in Query Manager, and under Options, select the correct currency from the drop-down menu.
  • Data warehouse: On the Supermetrics Hub, select a data warehouse transfer to edit, and under General settings, select the correct currency from the drop-down menu.

Time zone data

Criteo's user interface reports time zones in GMT, PST, and JST, but its API can't report in any time zone. If your Supermetrics product time zone isn't set to one of the time zones in the interface, mismatched values can result.

Instructions

  • Criteo: Check and change time zones in User settings.
  • Google Sheets: Time zones are set in a Sheet's file settings. Read Google's documentation to learn how to make changes.
  • Looker Studio: Looker Studio uses GMT by default.
  • Excel Online: An Excel Online file's time zone is defined by the Office 365 settings in the Microsoft user account. Read Microsoft’s documentation to learn how to update this.
  • Excel Desktop: On desktop, Excel's time zone will match the local computer's date and time settings.
  • The Supermetrics API: On the Supermetrics Hub, open the sidebar in Query Manager, and under Options, select the correct reporting time zone from the drop-down menu.
  • Data warehouse: On the Supermetrics Hub, select a data warehouse transfer to edit, and under General settings, select the correct reporting time zone from the drop-down menu.
