This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Facebook Ads data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
Your Facebook Ads accounts need different types of access to pull different types of data. Make sure your accounts have the right permissions before going ahead.
Your Facebook account needs:
- Employee access with the View performance option enabled, or Ad account analyst access to an ad account.
- If you're using the new Pages experience, your account needs partial access to the linked Facebook account.
For access to Lead data, your account needs Lead manager or Page admin access.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Facebook Ads, you need to log in to Facebook and select the accounts to use when prompted.
- Select the Facebook Ads data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Either log in with a new Facebook account, or click Continue as to go ahead with the account you're already logged in to.
- Select the Businesses and Pages you want to include in your reporting.
- Review the permissions, and click Save.
- Click Got it.
- In your data destination, select the accounts to use in your reporting.
