This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Yext data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
To connect Supermetrics to Yext, you'll need a Yext app and an API key.
Step 1: Create an app
- Log in to Yext and open your dashboard.
- On the left-side menu, click Developer and then Developer Console.
- Click + Add an app in the top right corner.
- Give a name for your app ("Supermetrics", for example) and click Create app.
- Click the API Credentials tab and select these permissions:
- Analytics: Read-only
- Account settings: Read-only
- Click Save.
Step 2: Get your API key
- After saving your app, navigate to API Credentials and then API Keys.
- Click the eye icon to show the API key.
- Copy the API Key. Be careful to keep it secure.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Yext, you need to provide your Yext API key and select the account to use.
- Select the Yext data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- Enter your Yext API key.
- Give your login a name to recognize the login later in case you have multiple logins.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- In your data destination, select the account to include in your query.
