Yext connection guide

Connect Yext to Supermetrics to start pulling your search data seamlessly into your reporting.

Before you begin

To connect Supermetrics to Yext, you'll need an app and an API key.


1. Create an app
  1. Log in to Yext and open your dashboard.
  2. On the left-side menu, click Developer and then Developer Console.
  3. Click + Add an app in the top right corner.
  4. Enter a name for your app ("Supermetrics", for example) and click Create app.
  5. Click the API Credentials tab and select these permissions:
    • Analytics: Read-only
    • Administrative: Read-only
  6. Click Save.
2. Get your API key
  1. After saving your app, navigate to API Credentials and then API Keys.
  2. Click the eye icon to show the API key.
  3. Copy the API Key. Be careful to keep it secure.

Make sure you've installed the Supermetrics add-on before you connect.

  1. Open a new Google Sheets file.
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch to open the Supermetrics sidebar.
  3. Click Create query.
  4. Under Data source, select Yext.
  5. Give your Yext login a memorable name under Account Name.
  6. Enter the App Key in the Yext API Key field.
  7. Click Start.
