About billing entities

If your teams use Supermetrics in multiple countries or regions, billing entities can help you manage their different billing needs.


Creating billing entities for teams spread across different regions helps you ensure that their tax information — VAT IDs, for example — matches their location. Additionally, billing entities for teams in the same region allow you to manage billing for those teams individually. 


When you buy your first Supermetrics license, our system creates a billing entity that matches the country you tell us you’re in. We apply tax settings for that region. This billing entity will be used by default. 


When you purchase a new license or upgrade your existing license, you can use the current billing entity, or create a new one. Learn how to create a new billing entity.
