This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Pinterest Organic data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.

We released a new version of the Pinterest Organic data source connector on June 1, 2023, with some changes to the authentication process.
To connect to Pinterest Organic, you need a Pinterest business account and an ad account.

With a Pinterest business account and ad account, you can fetch organic data for your own Pinterest profile. Before starting the connection process in Supermetrics, make sure that you're logged into a Pinterest business account in your web browser and not a personal Pinterest account.
Important about authentication
When authenticating, if you receive an error saying We did not find any accounts, please make sure you have created an ad account for your Pinterest business account.
Employee and Partner access
To fetch organic data for another Pinterest account, you must be added as an Employee or Partner to their business account and have at least Analyst access to one of their ad account.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:
- Profile: Get aggregated organic metrics of all pins and lifetime metrics of the profile. This report contains analytics from your owned pins (created and saved by you), as well as pins created and saved by others from your claimed accounts, such as websites.
- Top pins: Get organic metrics for the top 50 pins. This report contains analytics from your owned pins (created and saved by you), as well as pins created and saved by others from your claimed accounts, such as websites.
- Owned pins: Get organic metrics for your owned pins (created and saved by you) with daily breakdowns.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Pinterest Organic, you need to log in to Pinterest and select the accounts to pull data from when prompted.
- Select the Pinterest Organic data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Enter your email address and password, and click Log in.
- Click Give access.
- Select the accounts you'd like to include in your reporting.
- In your data destination, select the query type to use.
