Clockify report building guide

Use the Clockify data source connector to track time spent on different tasks by reporting all the time entries added to Clockify. Fetch data by time, by user, by client or by project and see what is the effective billing rate across your employees and projects.

See the following use cases for examples on how to set up queries.


See time entries for last week

Take a look at the duration of the time entries for last week. Here, we split the data by the start date of the time entry.


The "Duration (h)" metric shows the duration of the time entry in hours.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last week.
  2. Select the Duration (h) metric.
  3. Select the Entry start date dimension to split the query results by the start date of the time entry.


See billable hours

In this example, we take a look at the duration of time entries and the amount of billable hours for last month. We also compare this data to the previous month.


The "Amount" metric shows the rounded value of the billable amount of the time entry.

The "Duration (h)" metric shows the duration of the time entry in hours.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last month.
  2. Select the Amount and Duration (h) metrics.
  3. Set the Comparison date range to Previous period.


See billable hours with project name and description

Take a look at the billable hours compared to all hours, along with the time entry description and task ID. In this example, we look at the data for the ongoing month.


The "Amount" metric shows the rounded value of the billable amount of the time entry.

The "Duration (h)" metric shows the duration of the time entry in hours.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to This month to date.
  2. Select the Amount and Duration (h) metrics.
  3. Select the Description and Task ID dimensions to split the query results by these details.
