To connect Instagram Insights to Supermetrics, you need to make sure both your Instagram and Facebook accounts have a specific set of permissions.

Instagram permissions

Your Instagram account must be:

  • An Instagram Business account (sometimes called a "professional account"), or a Creator account that uses Facebook authentication and isn't restricted, age-limited, or private.
  • Linked to an active Facebook Page which has been claimed.

Visit Instagram's help center to learn how to change your account type.

Facebook permissions

Your Facebook account must:

  • Be a Facebook user account with View Page performance and Create ads permissions. Admin access — Manage page isn't required, but will work.
