Apple App Store / iTunes: Authentication and reauthentication guide

This guide will walk you through how to authenticate or reauthenticate Apple App Store / iTunes with Google Sheets, Data Studio, and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Please note that this data source is in early access stage and not fully deployed, but available for testing. 


Before you begin

The Supermetrics Apple App Store / iTunes data source does not require logging into a specific account. Therefore, no access requirements are needed for this data source.

Instructions

Google Sheets Data Studio  Excel
Before you can authenticate the data source in Google Sheets, you need to install the Supermetrics add-on.
  1. Open a new Google Sheets file. 
  2. Click Add-ons → Supermetrics → Launch to open the sidebar.
  3. Under Data source, select Apple App Store / iTunes.
  4. Navigate to Report configuration.
    Under Query type, select the query type.
    Insert Keyword(s) or App ID(s) for searching apps. To select different apps, separate each one with commas.
    Select App Store country.
    Select the Platform (i.e. iPhone, Mac etc.) and Maximum results per search term.
