Follow these steps to create and set up a Twitter Ads account. You need a Twitter Ads account to use the X Organic (Twitter) data source connector by Supermetrics.

Step 1: Make sure your Twitter account profile is complete
Your Twitter account profile must be fully set up before connecting it to a Twitter Ads account. The following must be added to the profile before proceeding:
- Profile picture
- Background picture
- Bio with a functional URL to a website
- Location

Step 2: Create Twitter Ads account
- If you have not set up a Twitter Ads account for your Twitter account, log in to the Twitter Ads portal to create it.
- Enter a country and time zone.
- Follow the steps to set up your first campaign and ad. You can enter anything for the objective.
- Add billing information. This is required, but you can immediately stop the campaign to prevent any charge.
- Finish the setup, and you'll be redirected to the ad manager.
Step 3: Add tax information to Twitter Ads account
- Open the Twitter Ads portal.
- In the top right-hand corner, click your account name and select Account settings.
- Select the Tax information tab and select the appropriate tax status.
- Fill in your contact information.
- Click Save tax information.
Step 4: Set up Tweet permissions in Twitter Ads account
- Open the Twitter Ads portal.
- In the top right-hand corner, click your account name and select Edit access to account.
- Click Edit access.
- Check the box for Can compose promotable tweets next to your account.
- Click Save changes.
If the above steps are completed correctly, your initial campaign should have the status of “Running,” and the top banner of the ad manager should show more than just Analytics.
