How to use suggested queries in Google Sheets

With the suggested queries feature, you can get started with your reporting in Google Sheets lightning-fast.

 

Currently, we have suggested queries for the following data sources:

Query descriptions

Facebook Ads

With the Facebook Stats Monthly Report query for Facebook Ads, you get a view of the following data from your selected Facebook Page from last month:

  • Impressions — The number of times your ads were on screen
  • Amount spent — Amount spent on your ads
  • Clicks (all) — All clicks your ads received
  • CPC (all) — Cost per click

The data pulled from Facebook Ads is split into rows by the Date dimension and further split into columns by the Campaign name dimension.

Google Ads

With the Campaign Performance Month on Month query for Google Ads, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Ads account from last month:

  • Impressions — Count of how often your ad has appeared on a search results page or website on the Google Network
  • Clicks — Number of clicks for your ads
  • Cost — The sum of your cost-per-click (CPC) and cost-per-thousand impressions (CPM) costs during this period
  • CPC — The total cost of all clicks divided by the total number of clicks received
  • Cost per conversion — The Cost attributable to conversion-tracked clicks divided by the number of conversions

The data pulled from Google Ads is split into rows by Date and further split to columns by the Campaign name dimension. Also, a filter to include only impressions greater than zero is applied to the query.

Google Analytics 4

Monthly Traffic Report via Source

With the Monthly Traffic Report via Source query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last month:

  • Sessions — The number of sessions that began on your site or app (event triggered: session_start)
  • Bounces — The number of sessions that were not engaged
  • Active users — The number of distinct users who visited your site or app

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Date dimension and further split into columns by the Source / medium dimension.


Monthly Traffic Report via Landing Page

With the Monthly Traffic Report via Landing Page query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last month:

  • Sessions — The number of sessions that began on your site or app (event triggered: session_start)
  • Bounces — The number of sessions that were not engaged
  • Active users — The number of distinct users who visited your site or app

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Date dimension and further split into columns by the Landing page dimension.


Ecommerce Traffic Last Month

With the Ecommerce Traffic Last Month query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last month:

  • Sessions — The number of sessions that began on your site or app (event triggered: session_start)
  • Item revenue — The total revenue from items
  • Transactions — The count of transaction events with purchase revenue

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Date dimension.


Top 50 Ecommerce Products

With the Top 50 Ecommerce Products query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last 7 days:

  • Item revenue — The total revenue from items
  • Items viewed — The number of units viewed for a single item
  • Items added to cart — The number of units added to cart for a single item
  • Items checked out — The number of units checked out for a single item.
  • Item purchase quantity — The number of units for a single item included in purchase events

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Item name and Item category dimensions.


Weekly Traffic by Channel Group

With the Weekly Traffic by Channel Group query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last 12 weeks:

  • Sessions — The number of sessions that began on your site or app (event triggered: session_start)

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Year & week (Mon-Sun) dimension and further split into columns by the Session default channel grouping dimension.


SEO: Top 50 Landing Pages by Organic Traffic

With the SEO: Top 50 Landing Pages by Organic Traffic query for Google Analytics 4, you get a view of the following data from your selected Google Analytics account from last 30 days with comparison to previous period:

  • Sessions — The number of sessions that began on your site or app (event triggered: session_start)
  • New users — The number of users who interacted with your site or launched your app for the first time (event triggered: first_open or first_visit) 
  • Engagement rate — The percentage of engaged sessions (Engaged sessions divided by Sessions) 

The data pulled from Google Analytics 4 is split into rows by the Landing page dimensions and a filter for organic search is applied.

Google My Business

With the Local SEO performance: Monthly actions query for Google My Business, you get a view of the following data from all your locations from last 12 months:

  • Total views — Total business impressions on both Google Maps and Google Search, on combined Desktop and Mobile devices.
  • Total actions — Total number of times people call, message, make bookings, ask for directions and more from your Business Profile on Google
  • Website visits — The number of times the business profile website was clicked
  • Directions requests — The number of times directions were requested
  • Phone calls — The number of times the business profile call button was clicked
  • Bookings — The number of bookings received from the business profile

The data pulled from Google My Business is split into rows by the Year & month dimension.

Google Search Console

With the SEO: Top 100 search queries query for Google Search Console, you get a view of the following data from all your selected sites from last 30 days with comparison to previous period:

  • Clicks — The number of clicks
  • Average position — Average organic position in Google search results
  • Impressions — The number of impressions

The data pulled from Google Search Console is split into rows by the Search query dimension.

Facebook Insights

With the Monthly Facebook Engagement query for Facebook Insights, you get a view of the following data from your selected Facebook Page from last month.

  • Comments — Number of comments on the Page
  • Shares — Number of page shares
  • Total page views — Number of times any tabs (e.g. Timeline, photo) of page's profile has been visited
  • Total video views — Total number of times page's videos have been viewed for more than 3 seconds
  • Engagement rate (% of reached people who clicked) — Percent of reached people who engaged with your page or post
  • Likes — The number of times people took the positive feedback action to like a story or post on the page

The data pulled from Facebook Insights is split into rows by Date.

Instagram Insights

With the Monthly Instagram Engagement query for Instagram Insights, you get a view of the following data from your selected Instagram profiles from last month.

  • Story impressions — Total number of times the story has been seen
  • Video views — Total number of times the video has been seen. Returns 0 for videos in carousel albums
  • Comments count — Total number of comments on the media object including replies
  • Like count — Total number of likes on the media object including replies
  • Reel shares — Number of shares of the reel
  • Engagement — Total number of likes, comments, and saves on the media object

The data pulled from Instagram insights is split into rows by Date.

LinkedIn Ads

With the LinkedIn Stats Monthly Report query for LinkedIn Ads, you get a view of the following data from your selected LinkedIn accounts from last month:

  • Impressions — Count of 'impressions' for Direct Ads and Sponsored Updates and 'sends' for InMails
  • Clicks — Count of chargeable clicks
  • Total spent — Campaign cost in the currency of the advertising account
  • Engagement rate — Total engagements divided by impressions

The data pulled from LinkedIn Ads is split into rows by Date and further split into rows by the Campaign name dimension.

LinkedIn Company Pages

With the LinkedIn Organic Monthly query for LinkedIn Company Pages, you get a view of the following data from all your selected LinkedIn accounts from the last month:

  • Impressions — The number of impressions of the page
  • Clicks — The number of clicks on the page
  • Likes — The number of page likes
  • Comments — The number of comments on the page
  • Shares — The number of page shares
  • Engagements — The number of engagements on the page
  • Engagement rate (%) — The engagement rate of the page

The data pulled from LinkedIn Company Pages is split into rows by the Date, Update title, and Update URL dimensions.

Shopify

We have 2 suggested queries for Shopify.


Ecommerce Sales Last Month

With the Ecommerce Sales Last Month query for Shopify, you get a view of the following data from all your selected Shopify accounts from the last month:

  • Total sales — The total sales for line
  • Orders — The amount of orders
  • Avg. order value — The average total sales
  • Units per transaction — Average number of items per transaction

The data pulled from Shopify is split into rows by the Date dimension.


Top 50 Ecommerce Products

With the Top 50 Ecommerce Products query for Shopify, you get a view of the following data from all your selected Shopify accounts from the last 7 days:

  • Total sales — The total sales for line item
  • Orders — The amount of orders
  • Avg. order value — The average total sales
  • Units per transaction — Average number of items per transaction.
  • Inventory quantity — The product quantity in inventory

The data pulled from Shopify is split into rows by the Product title dimension.

TikTok Organic

With the TikTok Organic Monthly query for TikTok Organic, you get a view of the following data from all your selected TikTok accounts using the Video performance query type:

  • Video views — The total number of views the video has received
  • Likes — The total number of likes the video has received
  • Comments — The total number of comments the video has received
  • Shares — The total number of times the video has been shared

The data pulled from TikTok Organic is split into rows by the Create date, Caption, and Share URL dimensions.

Instructions

  1. Open a new Google Sheets file.
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch sidebar to open Supermetrics. 
  3. Click Suggested queries on the Home tab or on the Queries tab. If you have many queries set up already on the Queries tab, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar to see the suggested queries.
  4. Select a suggested query.
  5. Select the accounts you want to use with the query.
  6. Click Get data.
