This guide will walk you through how to remove data source and Supermetrics user accounts from Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio).
Note that you can also manage your data source accounts and users on the Supermetrics Hub, where you can also easily remove a user's connection to the data source.
There can sometimes be a short delay between you making changes and them appearing in the product — if you've made changes and they don't appear, wait a short while and refresh the page.
If you see the following error about prioritized accounts, follow the instructions below to remove the data source accounts you don't need. For more information, see how to adjust your prioritized accounts on the Supermetrics Hub.
- The query is trying to pull data from x views that are not listed as prioritised accounts.
Instructions
To remove data source accounts:
- Open a Looker Studio report and select any chart.
- Click the Edit icon next to your data source (or click Resource → Manage added data sources and click Edit there).
- Click Edit connection.
- Under Select accounts/pages/profiles, uncheck the accounts you'd like to remove.
Make sure that the ALL ACCOUNTS option is not selected. - Click Reconnect to save the changes.
To remove Supermetrics user accounts:
- Open a Looker Studio report and select any chart.
- Click the Edit icon next to your data source (or click Resource → Manage added data sources and click Edit there).
- Click Edit connection.
- Click the link at the end of the sentence that starts with “To add more/manage more user accounts…”
- If you're in multiple teams, you'll be asked to choose the team relevant to this change.
- Click the Trash icon right next to the user account to remove that specific user.
