Can I Change My User ID for Supermetrics?

Yes! You can change your user ID – the user account assigned to your Supermetrics license – in the Team Management site. Note that you can only change a user ID up to 5 times on a license during your license period.

IMPORTANT: The license period is the entire existence period of your license, not including the time between renewals.

  1. Log into https://team.supermetrics.com/ with the User ID set for the license.
  2. Click on the Licences tab and check for the license you wish to update under the "Paid" filter. (Remember: you can’t reassign trial licenses and expired licenses.)
  3. If you can’t find the license you want to update, it might be assigned to another team. Click this part of the UI to select other teams your user ID is associated with.

  4. Follow the directions below based on the type of license.

If you cannot log in to Team Management because the user name is not a valid Google account or was typo'd, please submit a support request that includes the payer email or the transaction ID for the license so that Support Team can assist you.

Supermetrics for Google Sheets

Google Sheets licenses use the Team membership feature so you can change the ownership of the license by adding/removing users and changing their roles. The username originally assigned to the license will generally be the initial "owner" of the team (this is needed for initial team setup, so that the account can add other users).

They also will need to assign the license to themselves if they intend to use it. Please follow the steps below to assign users to the Google Sheets license:

IMPORTANT: Google Sheets licenses purchased before the 28th of March 2021 do not use the team feature, you still cannot assign the license to multiple users at once. The "Assigned to" value is the only person who can use the license for Sheets.

  1. Under the "Paid" section, search the list for the Supermetrics for Google Sheets license you wish to update. (You cannot reassign expired and trial licenses.)
  2. Click the Manage button.
  3. Under the Users section, click the red Manage users link.

    • If the user is not on the team, click "Assign to new member" link. Fill in the new member email and select a team role for that user. In addition to being added to the license, this user will also be added to the team membership list.
  5. Click OK once the user details have been set to transfer the license.
