If you have purchased a license for our Data Studio product but you get errors while using in your reports, click on "see details". If you get the error "Community connector error: You are using the free version of Supermetrics for Data Studio", it means that you are using account logins that belong to a team without a paid subscription. 


(Please note that our Data Studio connectors cannot be used with any other Supermetrics license, such as Supermetrics for Google Sheets.)


  1. Confirm that you are logged in to Data Studio with the same account that belongs in to a team with paid license:

    • If you're using an account that you are not sure has been added to a team with a paid license, login to team.supermetrics.com with the Google account that you purchased the license for.
    • Add the Google account you previously saw as your Data Studio login in to the team with a paid license as demostrated below:


  2. After this, when you have refreshed your reports and you still see the same error, you need to check that you have chosen the correct logins on your added data sources:

    • Go manage your data sources that you've selected for your dashboard: 

    • In here, you'll see to which teams does your Google account belong to and which of those have a paid subscription and which ones are on trial/free version:

    • Click on the view/page/account (name depends of the data source) menu to see if you have already authenticated with the team that has a paid license: 
    • If you cannot find the correct one that would be authenticated for the team with paid subscription, you can do the authentication through the link you see in here:

      • Pick the team with paid license: 

      • And after that you can start the authentication with account of your choosing and for example remove existing ones if needed (keep in mind that you're now seeing only the authentications under the team you previously chose): 

      • After this, you can choose the correct view/page/account from the drop down menu.
