This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your WooCommerce data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
To pull data from WooCommerce, the Analytics section must be enabled in your web store on the WooCommerce side. A role of Shop Manager or higher is required.
To connect Supermetrics to your WooCommerce store, you'll need a consumer key, consumer secret, and store URL.
- The key and secret can be obtained from WooCommerce. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API. WooCommerce's documentation has detailed steps to get the key and secret.
Note that prior to WooCommerce version 3.4, the key generation was located at WooCommerce → Settings → API → Key/Apps. - The store URL can be obtained from the address bar when you log in to Wordpress. The store URL must include https:// at the beginning. Copy only the first part of the address, for example https://example.com, and leave out the rest of the URL.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data.
- Sales overview: Report the overall sales for the store.
- Orders: Fetch details of orders for your store in a certain time range.
