New feature in beta: Shared connections in Supermetrics for Data Studio

Shared and private connections are now available for selected test teams on Data Studio. In Excel, the feature is available for all teams.

What’s changing

In Data Studio connections have been shared by default, but now you can use them across Supermetrics products (Excel). Shared connections allow you to authenticate to a data source account once and make that connection accessible (shared) with your team. Team members won’t have to log in again — they’ll be able to use your shared connection to fetch data.

You can keep a private connection private and unshare it with your team. However, it’s good to keep in mind that unsharing a connection will break all queries built with this connection.

  3. In the data source settings, click on the link at the end of the sentence that starts with “To add more/manage user accounts…”
