About the Queries tab in Google Sheets

The Supermetrics sidebar in Google Sheets organizes your queries into an accessible list on the Queries tab. It's designed to make query management as simple as possible.

Benefits

On the Queries tab, you can:

  • See every query in a spreadsheet in one place.
  • Quickly edit and refresh queries.
  • Duplicate and delete queries. Click the three-dot menu next to the query name to duplicate and delete queries as well as manage the data source connection.
  • More easily navigate complex spreadsheets. To focus only on queries on the current sheet, click In current sheet.
  • Filter and search queries.
  • Sort queries by data updated, data source name, or query creation time.
  • Easily identify queries with errors. To view queries with errors, click Errors.

Keep in mind

The query list shows all of the queries that are currently in your spreadsheet. It’s not a list of queries you’ve run, for example. It’s just a list of everything Supermetrics is pulling to your spreadsheet.

You might see queries in the list that you can’t see on the spreadsheet. This can happen when a query’s data is removed but the query itself isn't deleted from the spreadsheet.

  • To delete one query but leave the data on the spreadsheet, click the three-dot menu in the query list and select Delete query and leave data on the sheet.
  • To delete one query and its data, click the three-dot menu and select Delete query with data.
  • To delete multiple queries at once, open the SupermetricsQueries tab (this is hidden by default — navigate to Extensions → Supermetrics → Manage queries to show it) and delete the rows for any queries you want to remove. Learn more about using the SupermetricsQueries tab.
