Issues after switching from personal to work account

Microsoft implemented changes on their authentication flow on June 16th. 

This has prompted users to re-authenticate their Microsoft Advertising connector for Supermetrics. In some cases, users are also prompted to switch from a personal account to a work account. This prompt might be by choice or enforced by your IT admin. 

Some users have run into issues after this switch, not being able to authenticate the Supermetrics connector anymore. We've investigated this at our end and concluded that this is most likely an issue with how the Microsoft account is set up. It can be for example that the Microsoft Advertising account is connected to the user's personal Microsoft account and that's why the connection fails when a user attempts to log in with a work account. It can also be that the company IT admin hasn't approved installing our app, in which case only your company's IT admin can be of help. 

If you encounter errors like "App needs admin approval" or errors that imply your account login cannot be validated, we encourage you to turn to Microsoft's support or your company's IT admin for further help.
