How to reauthenticate a BigQuery, Supermetrics API, or data warehouse and cloud storage data source

This guide will walk you through how to reauthenticate the user account linked to a data source with BigQuery, the Supermetrics API, or data warehouse/cloud storage destinations. We'll use Facebook Ads as an example. 


Instructions

BigQuery Data warehouse and cloud storage Supermetrics API

Option 1: Renew the login

  1. Open the Supermetrics Token Management tool.
  2. Navigate to Integrations
  3. Click Sources.
  4. Select Metrics
  5. Select the data source you want to reauthenticate and click Renew.



Option 2: Via BigQuery

  1. Select the transfer you want to reauthenticate from the BigQuery Data transfers page.
  2. Click Edit in the top right-hand side.
  3. Scroll down the page and click Change configuration.

  4. Click Add another user.


When reauthenticating the Facebook Ads data source, please also complete these steps:

  1. Enter your username and password and click Log in.
  2. Click Continue as to proceed with that user account. If you wish to proceed with a different account, click Log into another account
  3. Click Continue
  4. Set up the general settings (conversion window, reporting timezone, report time of action stats) and click Submit.
  5. Click Save.

Option 3: Remove the login

In some cases, you might need to remove an account from a data source completely.

Please be aware that if you use this method, any transfers that rely on this login token will stop working.

  1. Go to the Supermetrics Token Management tool.
  2. Navigate to Integrations. Click Sources.
  3. Select the data source you want to reauthenticate and click Log out.


  4. Follow the instructions in Option 2: Via BigQuery above to log in again. To authenticate another data source, see this list.
