Outbrain Amplify report building guide

Use the Outbrain Amplify data source to pull your campaign performance data to your selected destination and compare the success of your different content such as blogs, slides, videos, and photos. You can also combine data with other marketing channels to have full visibility of your marketing efforts.

For a full list of metrics and dimensions available in our Outbrain Amplify data source connector, take a look at our Outbrain Amplify documentation.

Once you've connected to Outbrain Amplify, you're ready to create your first query in Google Sheets, Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), or Excel.

Try these queries

See the following use cases for examples on how to use the metrics and dimensions.

See spend and conversions per campaign

Take a look at how your campaigns are performing. In this example, we're fetching data on spend and conversions for each campaign you've been running during the month.

The "Spend (EUR)" metric shows the total amount of money spent in EUR, and the "Total conversions" metric shows the total number of conversions calculated.

For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to This month.
  2. Select the Spend (EUR) and Total conversions metrics.
  3. Select the Campaign name dimension to split the query results by campaign.

See monthly spend with click data

View your monthly spend for the year with data on your clicks.

The "Spend (EUR)" metric shows the total amount of money spent in EUR. The "Clicks" metric shows the total promoted link clicks, and the "Effective CPC" metric shows the effective (calculated) average CPC (Cost Per Click).

For best results in Looker Studio, use the bar chart or time series chart type.

  2. Select the Spend (EUR), Clicks, and Effective CPC metrics.
  3. Select the Year & month dimension to split the query results by month.

See clicks, impressions, and spend per campaign

Explore how many clicks and impressions your campaigns have attracted recently, and compare that to your spend over time.

The "Clicks" metric shows the total promoted link clicks. The "Impressions" metric shows the total number of promoted links impressions. The "Spend" metric shows the total amount of money spent.

For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last 28 days.
  2. Select the Clicks, Impressions, and Spend metrics.
  3. Select the Campaign name dimension to split the query results by campaign.

Set up scheduled refreshes for your reports
