SEMRush ranking, average position and visibility

Hi,

I'm trying to create line charts which show our average position and visibility for the year through SEMRush. Could you give me some guidance on how to do this please?

Thanks

  • Hi,

if I'm not mistaken, you should get it with the following combination (that is if SEMrush supports it):

    Metric: "Average position"
    Dimension: "Year"

Then simply set your date range for example for "This year" or any selection under "Last X years".

  • But what query type do I select?

    Thanks,

    Isabelle

  • Correct query type is "Publisher display ads".

  • Thanks - but graph is still coming up like this, have I done anything wrong?

    Cheers,

  • Could you also post a screenshot from your connector setup page? (you can blur out the account name etc. private information)

  • Is this what you mean?

  • Thank you. We unfortunately are not sure at all why you do not get any results with it.

Can you also post a full page screenshot from SEMrush on how you see those results in there?

  • This is how it appears on SEMRush

  • It seems that this reporting should be available in SEMrush Projects, for which we have a new connector thats in early access testing currently.

We found this note from SEMrush projects documentation of the average position: "The average of all your rankings for the keywords in your tracking campaign. For every keyword where you're not ranking, it will be calculated as a ranking of 100."

  • Okay, so I can't do anything until SEMrush Projects is out? When will it be ready?

And is there no way to show this data in the meantime?

    Thanks

  • You can already find SEMrush Projects as early access from here: https://datastudio.google.com/datasources/create?connectorId=AKfycbwVxLFZu_L_WGGhscFwEr5KL-yenNZa6_2-Llnih7LxETkbC_FB5qtpU4hABUWEs9En
