Google Ads returns null rows with just Account name data

I have a query for Google Ads which when run against accounts that don't have any data currently just a returns a single row for each of the accounts with all other dimensions and metrics being null (blank).

I already have a filter for 0 impressions and tried a filter for any of the null dimensions but don't seem to get it to work.

Is there a way to discard the data from being output by the query?

  • Hi George,

This is normal behavior for accounts that have no data or are not currently running any campaigns. You should be able to deselect those campaigns from the account selection list to not include them in query (unless you are actually talking about campaigns running no ads?)

  • Hi Jess,

    Thanks for clarifying.

Deselecting the campaigns isn't ideal as they would have activity on and off and we are trying to automate getting data from all of them without having to manually switch them on and off.

The empty cells create some issues with our formulas.

Would be great if you can consider adding an option to exclude those.
