AdWords: Problems getting First Page CPC and Top of Page CPC

I'm trying to get the First Page CPC and Top of Page CPC for all keywords in an account, but I just can't get it to work.

Shouldn't these be metrics? They appear as dimensions.

I imagined I could get the keywords as a dimension and then First Page CPC as the metric. This should give me a list of all keywords and their respective First Page CPCs. But I don't see how I should do this.

The data is available in the AdWords interface.

I hope someone can help me clarify how to achieve this using Supermetrics.

  • Hi,

It is described as an "attribute" (aka dimensions) in the AdWords API, which is why it appears as a dimension in our tool:

    https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report#firstpagecpc

We can't change this but it shouldn't even be necessary.

I think part of the issue is that the bid value for that field is returned as "micro currency units" and not as money, so it looks like nonsense. But if you make a query that has the dimensions "Keyword Text" and "FirstPageCPC" and know that you need to convert the raw output value into money units (divide by 1000000 to get the decimal value in the account currency), then it matches what is in AdWords UI:

    I hope this helps.
