Bounce Rate Decimal VS. Percentage

When pulling bounce rate from Google Analytics it shows as a decimal instead of a percent - then when trying to convert the decimal to a percentage is ends up showing incorrectly. I have tried adjusting the decimal place location. I have also tried to convert the format to a "number" and a "percent".

Bounce rate is pulled as 51.2821

Click the "%" button 5128.21%

Is there a fix for this?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your message.

The Bounce rate is fetched as a calculated percent, hence it needs to be presented as a number without the % sign. Formatting to Percent will lead to the situation you described, as it always multiplies by 100. If you need to show the % sign after your values, please make a formula to modify the raw data, something like this: A1/100. After that, set format to be Percent.

    Best regards,

  • Is there a way to set the formula so that the formula does not get overwritten when new queries are refreshed?

  • Exactly the same issue for me. This is probably a deal breaker for me.

  • My workaround was to add a text box with the percent symbol and place it at the end of the data.
