Rakuten Advertising connection guide

To connect your Rakuten Advertising data to Supermetrics, you first need to create a report in Rakuten Advertising itself that includes all the data you want to add to your reports. It'll give you the credentials you need to import that data with Supermetrics.

If you need to connect this data source to one of our data warehouse or cloud storage destinations, explore our data warehouse and cloud storage setup guides.

Before you begin

First, create a report in Rakuten Advertising that includes all of the data you want to fetch with Supermetrics.

You can also use an existing report — if you'd rather do this, you can skip these steps and follow the instructions to get your report key and API token.

Create a report
  1. Log in to Rakuten Advertising.
  2. Navigate to Reports, and click Reporting.
  3. Select an existing report, or build a new one. We recommend selecting every column you want to use in Supermetrics (but bear in mind that reports with more columns will load more slowly).
  4. Adjust your report's settings — you can make further changes in Supermetrics once it's connected, too.
  5. Click Save.
Get your report key and API token
  1. Log in to Rakuten Advertising.
  2. Open the report you want to use with Supermetrics.
  3. Open the dropdown next to "View report".
  4. Click Get API.
  5. You'll see your report's API URL. This contains your report key and API token.
  6. Copy the text between /reports/ and /filters in the URL. This is your report key. Save it in a safe place.
  7. Copy the text after &token=. This is your API token. Store it securely.
