In preparation for authentication changes coming in August 2021, we will be updating the Microsoft Advertising data source to use the Microsoft identity endpoint for handling user logins and tokens.
The change will take place on June 16th, 2021, after which new user logins and re-authentications for the Microsoft Advertising data source will use the Identity Endpoint. Existing tokens using the deprecated Live Connect system will continue work until early August, at which point users must switch over due to a change in app permissions happening then.
We highly recommend users to re-authenticate after June 16th to avoid later disruptions and errors with the service.

We also ask that users have multi-factor authentication enabled for the Microsoft user account, as that is now a requirement to access Microsoft Advertising via their API. See Microsoft Advertising to Enforce Multi-factor Authentication - April 2021 for more details.
