Login Management in Team Site

You can manage you and your teammate's various authentication tokens in the Team Management site, under the LOGINS section. From there, you will be able to renew tokens as well as log them out to remove unneeded access or to fix certain issues with tokens.

Login Management is currently supported for the following Supermetrics products:

  • Supermetrics for Data Studio
  • Supermetrics for Excel
  • Supermetrics for BigQuery
  • Supermetrics API
  • Supermetrics for Netvisor

(For Supermetrics for Google Sheets, you can use the standard method here to re-authenticate and/or remove users: How do I Re-Authenticate a Google Sheets Connector?)

Renewing a Login

This process can be used to renew an expired, stale, or problematic user logins (aka authentication token) that are causing errors in one of the supported products.

  1. Log into https://team.supermetrics.com/token-management with your license account.
    • If given then option to select a specific team, you will need to select the one with the products/licenses you wish to renew the token for. You can always switch teams in the tool if you select the wrong one.

  3. Click on Renew in that row.

Orange box highlights a specific row for the Facebook Ads data source, and an orange arrow points to the "Renew" link to start the renewal process

  4. You will be prompted to start the login process for the data source. It will tell you the current login being used - you MUST log in as the same account as before.

Orange box highlights where the login account will be listed. You must log in as the same account

  5. Click Start and this should take you through the login process for the data source. Follow the prompts to log in, making sure you use the exact same user as before.
  6. Once the login process is complete, your login token should be renewed and any authentication or expired token errors in the product should be fixed.

Note that the UI does not update automatically, so you may need to reload the page to see the new created date for the updated login.

  5. There will be a confirmation and the pop-up will close itself automatically.
  6. The account will no longer be in the list and any queries/products that were using that account will now ask the user to log in again.

Note if you log the wrong account out accidentally, you can always follow the standard data source connection steps for the product to log the account back in.
