Google Ads Updates Aug. 2019


Due to Google deprecating the "Average Position" metric later this year (end of September 2019), the following new metrics have been added to help replace that functionality:

  • Top impression percentage
  • Search top impression share
  • Search budget lost top impression share
  • Search rank lost top impression share
  • Search absolute top Impression share
  • Search budget lost absolute Top Impression share
  • Search Rank Lost Absolute Top Impression share

Then on September 30th, the following fields will be deprecated in our system and you should remove or replace them as appropriate.

  • Average position
  • Organic average position
