On Wednesday March 18th, we received this message from Amazon: “We will remove your sponsored ads API access effective 3/19/2019.”
Amazon’s main argument for removing our access, as we understand it, is that by pulling data into Google products, we’re violating this clause in the API agreement ‘distribute, sub-license or otherwise provide any portion of the Program Materials to any third party’. We disagree with this logic and are in active discussion with Amazon, trying to resolve this misunderstanding and find a mutually acceptable solution.
As always, we want to keep the situation completely transparent to all of our users and keep you updated on the progress. If you could do us a favour and drop a message to your Amazon account manager telling them how important it is to be able to get Amazon ads data through Supermetrics. It would be a huge help and greatly appreciated!
