How Do I Enable/Disable Auto-Renewal?

If you wish to enable or disable auto-renewal on an existing license that was purchased with credit card, you can do so via Team Management. Please note that you must have an "Owner" role in the team to do this.

Enabling Auto-Renewal for Credit Card Purchases

  1. Log into the Team Management site with your Google or Microsoft user account associated with your license: https://team.supermetrics.com/
  2. Under the LICENSES tab, find the "paid" license you wish to enable auto-renewal on. 
    • Note that you cannot enable auto-renewal on expired or trial licenses, nor on PayPal or pay-by-invoice licenses.
  3. Click Manage to see the license details.

  4. Check under Payment details section for the auto-renewal status.
  5. If set to "OFF", click the Turn On link to enable auto-renewal.

  6. It should update the Payment details section to look similar to below, with Auto-renewal set to "ON", and list the billing cycle and price to be paid on next renewal.


Disabling Auto-Renewal for Credit Card Purchases

  1. Log into the Team Management site with your Google or Microsoft user account associated with your license: https://team.supermetrics.com/
  2. Under the LICENSES tab, find the "paid" license you wish to enable auto-renewal on. 
    • Note that you cannot disable auto-renewal for PayPal purchases here. See the Auto-Renewal for PayPal section for more information.
  3. Click Manage to see the license details.

  4. Check under Payment details section for the auto-renewal status.
  5. If set to "ON", click the Cancel subscription link to disable auto-renewal.

IMPORTANT: Please note that Cancel subscription will not terminate your current license but disable the automatic renewal while allowing your subscription to run until the end of your current subscription period.

 

Auto-Renewal with PayPal

With PayPal purchases, we unfortunately cannot enable or disable auto-renewal for you. The "subscription", as it is called, is set up at purchase and can only be changed directly in PayPal by the PayPal account that set it up.


Enabling PayPal Auto-Renewal

You will need to manually extend your license with the Extend option and select the option to enable auto-renewal during the payment process. 


NOTE: this does require you to purchase additional time to make this work, but the extra time purchased will be appended to your existing license time. You will get all time paid for.


If you have issues with the license extension, please submit a support request, making sure to include the payer email and/or transaction ID of the purchase so that support can help you locate it.


Disabling PayPal Auto-Renewal

You need to log into PayPal with the PayPal account used to purchase the license and cancel the subscription directly there. For more details on how to do this in PayPal, see How do I cancel a subscription?


I Cannot Enable Auto-Renewal

If you are not the right role on the team, you may not see the options to change auto-renewal. Please reach out to the team's Owner role for further assistance.


You cannot enable auto-renewal on PayPal purchased licenses. If you originally purchased with PayPal, see the Auto-Renewal with PayPal section above.


You also cannot enable auto-renewal for pay-by-invoice licenses, support-generated licenses, and expired or trial licenses.


If you did not purchase with PayPal or are unsure, please submit a support request for assistance noting that you do no see the option to enable/disable, and include your user ID so we know which license you are referencing.
